The year is young but the ever evolving world of men’s hair moves fast. Trends come and go quickly which is why we are going to jump in and show you some of he best fade hairstyles. The type of fade you get has a dramatic effect on the way your fresh haircut is going to look. Here’s a few styles you can ask your barber to give you at your next visit. If you want a super clean men’s haircut then you will want to get a cool fade. Outside of the area of your hair that gets faded you can go with short hair on top, or a medium to long length that will create more contrast. A longer length of hair will also give you more options on how to style your look. You can slick back your hair, keep it more natural and dry looking, mess it up, or style it neat with a comb over. Just because it’s such a timeless look it never really went out of style but it’s much more in style now.

Box Fade Haircut

More of a rounded box shape on top cut and clipped to perfection, a box fade hair cut on perfection seems as if a rectangular box is placed over your head. Famous amongst black guys, the make use of it well as it brings their youthfulness out. An easy-to-create haircut that can alter your total outlook dramatically. You can get fade variations as you wish, suiting to your look, with high, medium and low fades that are available from your nape area that extends to the head.

Low Drop Fade

Another great example of the drop fade with a view from the back. A drop fade is similar to a regular fade haircut but it gradually lowers at the back of the head and around the front hairline. This allows for more depth around the crown and a sharp outline to the face. This means that while you can expect something neat and orderly with the latter, a drop fade packs a more notice gradient as it tapers to your hairline.

Shadow Fade

This shadow fade blends nicely from very short to short at the sides. Can be low/mid/high like the skin fade. A shadow fade is any haircut that starts off lighter on the sides and blends into longer hair on top. There are many variations of a shadow fade, just like with a skin fade the barber can start the lens low, medium or high and you can choose to keep the length on the sides light, medium or dark.

Skin Fade + Disconnected Top

An awesome contrast in they haircut. The longer hair on top is disconnected from the mod to high fade. The undercut involves short back and sides while the hair on top is left much longer. The longer hair on top allows for a variety of style to be created, making it an extremely versatile cut. When worn with a longer hair on top, a disconnected undercut’s min use is to remove weight, where the undercut is designed to be hidden. For medium-to-shoulder length hair go for a grade four undercut. For a more noticeable standout look, go even tighter.

Mohawk Fade

One of the cleanest fades combined with a hair design. Look so cool with the disconnected beard too. The mohawk crest is up to your liking and it can be flat or wildly shaped, To get a more defined look, ask your barber to taper the hair upward into a crest. They may do this by either cutting or buzzing your hair, it’s up to you. The hair should form a triangle shape, going up toward the middle.

High Fade + Long Textures

An even higher fade combined with longer textured hair the almost gives a mohawk look. High fade haircuts cut hair ultra short or down to the skin around the sides and back of the head. This gives the appearance of thicker hair and focuses attention to the style on top, whether it’ shirt or long. A high fade can be added to any men’s haircut from a buzz to long hair that can be styles into a pompadour or comb over, it also works for curly hair and creates a textured mop or high top style for tighter curls.
